I am packing tonight...This time for myself only:) Last time I travelled by myself was year 2003...To Syria, A long trip that turned my whole life upside down...Positively:)
Tomorrow I'm flying to Chicago, To visit my relatives...I haven't seen most of them in years, and it's just so exciting to think about the gatherings we'll have over there!
Hubby has a business trip to Germany on Sunday, and for he'll be too busy there it wont be good for both of us to go there together...It's good to have sometime away from each other every once in a while...That's what I have heard...and about to see whether it's true or not;)
He is going to have some courses at Audi cars plant in Germany...He will be among 6 other guys from the states to visit Germany next week! I'm so happy for him and proud of him too:D He'll just fall in love more with Audi cars, and it's good for his work too!!
As for me, I will miss Jeeej and our place, but I will be tasting family flavours!! I was talking to mama the other day, and I told her that I am not expecting a lot of sight seeing or outdoors activities in Chicago, for my relatives have babies now and it wont be easy to go on trips or something...at least this is what I think...nothing is for sure of course...I will just enjoy the gatherings, Isn't it what I really miss!?!?
Yesterday we had a great day, for we knew we'll be away for a whole week...So we went to Santa Cruz Beach and walked around the city, played mini golf, and had so much fun at the Arcades!! We had a neat Mexican lunch and did some shopping...we also went to the Mystery Spot...I will talk about it laterrrrrr:D
I still have to go shopping for some gifts, and then I have a class to give...I have work for 3 hours at the school...and then late at night, packing for me will start...I might start helping Jeeej in packing too...He's better than me in doing so, so I might end up watching him packing for two :p
Chicagoooooo...here I come...ready or not :D
We both will have fun no matter how far we are from each other...God's willing !!!

But good luck... have fun ... visit places ... don't stay home .. and don't let the horrible weather over there stop you from having fun.
Take a Coat AND light cloths because .. as I said... Chicago SUCKS!
Nido.. time flies! i remember you telling me about this trip two months ago or so.. !!! It's healthy.. those trips for both of you, you'll miss each other and come back so fresh and excited to share all the nice details and many stories!
Though next time you guys pack, it'll be both -your cloths and his- in one bag ;) YAY!
Have fun in Chicago! it is a beautiful place..if you get to go downtown i am sure you will like it...and if you are in the subrubs you will still have fun with your family! enjoy everything...even the weather..it will be cloudy all this week and rainy the first two days you are there....but this is chicago and it does not suck in anyway!!!!
the first time i was away from hubby i was sad most of the times...i went to new york city with hubby's aunt and met adel imam when they were filming hello america..after that hubby was gone on lots of business trips where i had to stay home because of my work and I got used to it and now i love that time away from hubby..
i get to do my own things and my friends would stay the night and we had a grownup slumper parties....too bad the projects he is working on are all in saskatchewan now..no girly time for me....but man i remember that first few times away from hubby was the hardest thing ever!
have fun in chicago..i am sure they will be going out..having a baby did not stop anyone from going out..:o)
