Sushi Baby...

We started introducing all kinds of food to our Mariyah once she became an 8 monther:)
Today she had her first California Roll! She also tried miso soup and the tofu that comes with it...

On another note, I'm trying so hard to get rid of guilty feeling for the scratches on her face...Yesterday I wasn't paying attention to her when she was trying to stand up and then fell on the Lego blocks we were playing with on the ground...There was some bleeding and now it shows and it looks so bad. I feel like crying every single time I look at her face...It's killing me.

I pray to Allah (SWT) there wont be any scar left! Thank God it wasn't worse.

I don't know how valid this is but ever since my niece has been born WHATEVER happens to her, they put olive oil on it lol. Its like the healer of all wounds, might wanna try it? haha... Apparently it gives warmth to the area which from what I studied means opens veins for more blood/oxygen supply. I guess it is good. Hope your cute baby feel better :( wo inshAllah sa7a!

Oh thanks Batoul :)
You know, my mom always ALWAYS uses and recommends olive oil, it's like her trade mark! She doesn't know abt the accident yet, and Im sure she is going to suggest the same after yelling at me of course! :p
I still am afraid to use it because one time I heard it has some fungi in it that might infect wounds :S not sure though...I am leaving it to dry and hopefully it'll go away in no time:)

Sahtain! please do not give her sushi with raw fish in it, i know you know better i just had to say that :)
you cannot help but feel guilty about her face...remember, kids are resilient and she will bounce back all ok from all her falls and mishaps! in any case, even if she has a mark on her face, it will be a sweet reminder of her childhood. :)

I agree with Summer on the raw fish thingie.
You may want to try honey, my mother in law says it heals wounds like magic. and don't feel bad, this happens to all babies all the time, especially when they start standing and walking, ya3ni jayeeni el door ana, lol

Diana: jayyeeeki il door ;)It's scary when they start standing up and trying to balance. Today I was at a gathering and the ladies were laughing at me saying that I'm overprotective and that I should leave her and allow her to walk leaning on couches :S
As for the scratch I have not added anything, I'm letting it dry on it's own! Ya rab yiroo7 kollo!
