Adapting to change.

Once you're married, you have to adapt to so many changes in your life together with the partner.
Some changes are huge, like moving to a different country, and some are small; like getting used to sleep surrounded by white noise!!

When Jeeej and I got engaged, he stayed at my parents' house, and slept in the guests room. The first night, I asked him if he slept well? He said it was OK!

The next night his answer was the same :s

I had to ask again...How could we make it better?!

He asked for a small fan...There was none. So he got himself a small yellow one the very next day. After he got it, he started to enjoy his sleeps!

I made it clear to him that I'm very VERY sensitive to noises, and it should be dead calm around me so I could sleep.

He was understanding...he tried several times, I slept well...he didn't!

He begged me again...he needs to hear the white noise all through the night!!

wishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

When we sleep out, in a hotel, at my in laws, or anywhere else he runs the A.C, the fan or even tunes the radio to a NON STATION!!

One night after another, I got used to it! I started to enjoy it...and NOW...

and NOW I CAN'T SLEEP WITHOUT THE WHITE NOISE!!

it's funny!

Last week, when he was away, I watched myself doing stuff he does all the time! Stuff I sometimes like and other times I don't!! Like using the grater as a strainer :s

Even worse, I keep turning on the small tiny fan in Mariyah's room, believing that it's best for her so she could enjoy her sleeps at night!!

Now I believe my mom when she says:"Thanks to your dad, I can't sleep unless the radio is tuned to Amman radio station!!"

Welcome Home Jeeej :D

Single motherhood :s

Is so boring and tiring.

It's hard, especially in the morning when I need to sleep for an extra hour, or when I need to take a nice bath in peace, or even when my back hurts and I can't give her a bath before her bedtime!

It's good sometimes to be away from your partner for a while, but only if you have other people around you to help, otherwise it's just hard...

Jeeej just needed this time off, and he earned it! I'm so happy and proud of him for he won a trip to Germany again !

May Allah SWT brings you back to me safe and sound...Jeeej habibi...I miss you!

She's growing fast!

I should have done this a lot earlier, but I was too lazy to do so and I kinda regret it...but it's OK:) better late than never. From now on I will keep updating this post whenever she says/does something new.

It is so funny and actually cute to hear her speak, talking to us and to herself, with facial expressions and all, and let's not forget the tone! It's just beautiful :)

Mariyah is one year old now and she can run. she stopped crawling on June 6th. she can turn around herself :)

she loves her hair clips :) she brings them to me and gives me her head to put them on :)
she climbs the stairs and goes down on her own.

she connects two Lego blocks together.

she loves to bite my legs from behind while I'm standing in the kitchen, it hurrrrtsss !!

when we are in the elevator, she keeps repeating the word -ta777- for ifta7! it means Open.
of course she says Baba and Mama, she loves baba more, so she says baba more often!

I spend more time with her and I still exclusively nurse her but still she loves him more :s

she has to follow him to the elevator to say goodbye to him every time he goes to work! if she doesn't, she keeps crying until I let her follow him!

I beg her for a kiss, she ignores...he never begs her for kisses or even asks her! he doesn't need to, because she offers him kisses on the mouth every single time she sees him :s

NO I'm NOT jealous!!!!!!
she says: Ta3aliiiiiiiiiiiiiii..."come"
she says battah -ducky-. fotah -diaper-. dodooo -her stuffed toy loulou-.
adooooooo -for hello, while acting as if she's calling someone over the phone-!
she says: sa3a -watch-. she says it every morning when we bring her to our room after she wakes up...we put her between us to play for sometime before jeeej kicks us out so he could sleep more...so anyways, to distract her a little bit so we could sleep in longer we give her jeeej's watch and we say : sa3a -watch-.
now once she is in our bed she asks for it : sa3a?! sa3a?!

when she is thirsty she says: a77777777.

she says: tabeh -ball-

when you ask her: keef sot il asad? -how does the lion sound?! she says: wikhhhhewww wikkhheeewwwwww with a scary face :D

she likes to feed us, asking us with something in her hand: mmmmmmmm?!?! mmmmmmm?!

she loves feeding us whatever she finds on the ground! she is so cute!

she can call her friend Kenda by her name saying: Keddaaaaaaaa.

when she is in her stroller, she keeps asking: BYEEEE?! BYEEEEEEE?!

Sometimes during the day while we are alone together, she remembers baba, so she asks with the saddest tone ever: baba?! baba?!

her favourite game is still peekaboo....but we use a different word, we say: ba33ainooooo :D
she goes into her room, shuts the door and cries so loud with tears. I open the door and let her out, she gives me a smile. then she goes back inside and does the same,,,over and over again !!
ask her to bring u any of these and she would...
kitab - her book-
feel -her elephant-
sawsaw -her toy chick-
Lego
batta -her toy duck-

When we play together, I keep saying "hailaaa hoppa"! she got it from me and while walking around, while playing alone or even while in the car she keeps saying: "aaaaaaaiiiil opppeh"

I'm sure there is much more, I'm a little bit hungry right now so I can't think hard :p I will keep updating this inshallah :)
Masha2 Allah!! always :)
She is our BIG sunshine!!
Update: June 26th
- She says Tete -gramma-
she says Meme, for her aunt Mimi
she says Bebe for baby! whenever she sees a lil kid she says: Bebe.
she walks while her hands are folded behind her back

Our strawberry shortcake, In Carmel City!

On our way to Carmel city, we stopped several times. Our 1st stop was to buy a big basket of fresh strawberries!

because we love strawberries :)

A LOT!

We enjoyed the trip!

We wanted to go to Monterey, but while driving we just decided to keep going until we reached Carmel, a beautiful city!! so quiet and it's people are so friendly, and very rich I'm sure!

I believe that people who live by the sea or ocean are always happy, nice and full of life! The water gives a lot of positive energy, the view, the sounds, everything about it makes me happy!

I would love to go live there! A woman who works at one of the shops told me that she gets bored of it sometimes, because it's a quiet area, and she thinks that I like it there simply because I'm visiting and if I actually lived there I would get bored really fast!

Nope, Not me! I always enjoyed quiet places. Crowded streets and areas are not my favourite! at all!

It's not like I live in the loudest place on earth, but still, Carmel is sooo beautiful...I would love to live there :)

The water was cold! but the weather was just perfect!!

My favourite trips, are those Unplanned :)
