This way the baby feels somewhat like home, she's warm, your hands are free and if she's facing inwards you can nurse her. I carried my son in a sling wheneverI wanted to go to the mall and he never cried, people would say "OMG how quite!! I would've never guessed there's a baby inside". Here in Canada they started having them in most malls. Usually in the family bathrooms. If you know which ones in your area have them go there when you need to go out. Those rooms give you privacy.
